Adolescent Counselling Session for Class VII

“No matter what you look like or think you look like, you’re special and loved and perfect just the way you are.” Gwalior Glory High School organised an Adolescent Counselling Session for Class VII on ‘Developing Perspective’ under ‘Let’s Connect with Teens’ initiative. The welcome note was given by the Vice Principal. The esteemed speakers Dr J C Garg, President 2021, Adolescent Health Academy; Dr. Ghanshyam Das, Prof. Department of Pediatrics ,KRH ,GRMC Gwalior; Dr Prakash Vir Arya, President, Adolescent Health Academy, Secretary, Gwalior Academy of Pediatrics and Dr. Rahul Sapra, President, IMA Gwalior shared important information regarding mental, physical and emotional development in adolescence. They also shared the information about hormonal changes, stress management, peer pressure, decision making, nutrition, vaccination, sanitization and so on. The students were lucky to get their queries resolved by the eminent personalities. The vote of thanks was given by the Academic Coordinator. Overall it was an interesting and fruitful session. Session on Art of Living for Students

You can bring out happiness and celebration in life only through inner silence. An enlightening session was conducted on ‘Art of Living’ for classes 9 and 10 at Gwalior Glory High School. The Art of Living encompasses various aspects such as mindfulness, stress management, self-awareness, personal growth, happiness, and harmony with oneself and others. Dr Sangeeta Jha, a scientist, philanthropist and State Teachers’ Coordinator of Madhya Pradesh and Mr Deepak Singhal, a faculty from the Art of Living Organization were the resource persons of the session. They suggested the students to incorporate meditation into their daily routine to cope up with stress during the exams. Students learnt some techniques which involved meditation, breathing exercises, and stress management to promote well-being and enhance overall quality of life. Investiture Ceremony 2023

Honouring Leaders and Fostering Responsibility At GGHS it was a momentous occasion in which elected candidates were bestowed with positions of authority and responsibility. The ceremony commenced with mesmerizing performance by Glorhythm-GGHS School Band followed by the Investiture ceremony which aimed to instill a sense of pride, commitment, and accountability among the selected individuals and also to inspire others to follow their footsteps.  The Glorian Family congratulates the newly elected Students’ Council and motivates the students to strive harder with a unified zeal for the betterment of the school.

ABHIVYAKTI – Mental and Emotional Health Club

‘Mental and Emotional Health Club’ was digitally inaugurated by the Director, Ms. Anita Wadhwani and the Principal, Dr. Rajeshwari Sawant. The event also marked the launch of ‘Adolescent Life Skills and Health & Wellness Centre’ , which is a Peer Led Leadership Programme of Expressions India in collaboration with CBSE in the presence of the Vice Principal,        Ms. Shikha Sharma, the Academic Coordinators- Ms. Manjinder Namdhari, Ms. Bindha Kaul and Ms. Shalini Malik, School Counselor Ms.Prachi Bhatnagar, Club mentors – Ms.Sucheta Bose Laha, Ms. Asmita Dubey, Ms. Prafull Nigam, Ms. Uma Sharma, Ms. Richa Gupta and Ms. Jayati Mukerji and the Glorians. The centre has been launched with the major objectives of promoting mental health awareness, encouraging help seeking behaviour, following emotional wellbeing practices, and instilling life skills among students to make them future ready. Students need a safe space where they can be heard and they can share their concerns without the dilemma of being judged. To mark the representation of the peer leadership programme, four peer leaders namely Harshwardhan Singh XI, Yoshita Dawrani XI, Anuska Gupta IX, and Vihaan Dohare IX , who have recently received online training by CBSE Master Trainers were offered badges. The Principal thanked everyone for shaping her dream. She sensitized the audience with the need of initiating such a movement by peer educators and peer leaders successfully that will certainly bring a positive change in the community. In her address, the Vice Principal motivated students with five positive affirmations to practise daily- * I am the best * I believe, I can * Today is my day * I love myself * God is always with me A nukkad natak was also staged by the students of Class XII- Shuchi Laha, Kavya Patni and Oshi Bhatnagar on Adolescent mental health issues.
