Diwali and Children’s Day Celebration

Gwalior Glory High School celebrated Unity Day as a tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The day began with a spirited Unity Run, where students displayed unity in diversity. The Sports Captain led the way, taking an oath to uphold the values of unity and integration. This celebration reminded everyone of Patel’s vision of a united India. The event served as a platform for fostering the spirit of oneness and the legacy of a great leader in the hearts of young minds through a Power Point Presentation under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Mission. School days always bring back the soothing and delightful hues of flashback memories such as the school building, hallways, the fun lunch time, games period, friends, school trips, activities and so on….On this special day, the Glorian Teachers shared their real life experiences and recalled their *UNFORGETTABLE SCHOOL TIME MEMORIES* through a short video clip. Let’s connect with Teens : Celebrating Self

Celebrating yourself is one of the most important things in self-love and self-care. It is a way of acknowledging your accomplishments, strengths, and uniqueness. This was the essence of adolescent counselling session under “Let’s connect with Teens’. The topic was “Celebrating Self.” The panel of experts comprised of renowned Dr. Sandhya Ahuja, Treasurer Gwalior Academy Of Pediatrics and Dr. Prakash Vir Arya President Adolescent Health Academy. The session began with the welcome address by the Vice Principal, Ms Shikha Sharma. The esteemed speakers, took turns to sensitize the students on how self celebration is celebrating the person you are now; not the future self or not the person you wish you had been …its about accepting, encouraging and empowering oneself in the moment. The students got their queries resolved by the eminent personalities. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, offered by the Academic Coordinator Ms. Bindha Kaul. Overall, it was an interesting, interactive, and fruitful session.

Visit to Tear Smoke Unit, Tekanpur

As part of the Educational Trips organised by Gwalior Glory High School from time to time, an industrial visit was organised for students of class 11th (Science stream) on 17th October to Tear Smoke Unit, Tekanpur. The trip was very informative and exciting. They got to know about chemicals used in tear gas which are non- lethal. The officers at Tekanpur had prepared and performed a demo of tear gas usage and hand grenades, how to project it in a crowd and the type of guns that are used to project it. The students were excited to see a demo of drones carrying 4 tear gas grenades, fitted with a camera and audio system to warn the crowd and then drop it off, if the crowd is uncontrollable. By this live demonstration the students experience to see and know that tear gas is an effective tool to segregate the crowd without harming people.

Educational Visit: SRF Malanpur

Education is acquired not only from books, but also from experience. To promote the experiential learning , a group of students from Commerce, Science and Humanities stream of classes 11 and 12 visited SRF Limited, Malanpur on 19 October with four escort teachers. In the beginning, a video and Power Point Presentation ushered the way to SRF’s introduction and functioning. The unit of Gwalior manufactures nylon tyre cord fabric. The unit head Mr. Raajesh Khanna addressed the students and explained the functioning of SRF, Gwalior meticulously. Subsequently, Glorians visited the manufacturing plant and were mesmerized seeing the process of making nylon tyre cord fabric in a huge area of the unit.Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience for all the students outside the classroom.

Art of Living Workshop

Living in the moment with joy, awareness, and compassion is happiness. An informative session on ‘Art of Living’ was conducted at Gwalior Glory High School for the educators to eliminate mental stress and improve the physical health. The session was driven by Dr. Sangeeta Jha, a scientist, philanthropist and State Teachers’ coordinator of Madhya Pradesh and Mr. Deepak Singhal, a faculty from the Art of Living Organization headed by High Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The session encouraged educators to follow a healthy lifestyle and incorporate meditation into their daily routine. The aim of the workshop was to make educators learn how to cope with daily stress during the school hours, improve work efficiency and quality of work, along with enhancement in skills. The esteemed speakers emphasized the power of breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga in controlling and turning the stress, negative emotions, and thoughts into positive energy. The staff enjoyed the session and found it worthwhile.
