Nukkad Natak: Class IV on the topic “Save Water”

‘Water the elixir of life.’ Gwalior glory high school organised an inter house competition- Nukkad Natak for students of class IV on the topic “Save Water” which is one of the 17 goals of Sustainable development Goals (SDs) United Nations. Our talented participants took the stage to deliver a powerful message on the urgent need to save water through their captivating performances. They highlighted the vital role water plays in our lives. Interclass Chaupai Competition

Gwalior Glory High School strongly believes in the notion that values are the root of indian legacy and these values should be inculcated in the children at an early stage. An Interclass Chaupai Competition was organised at Gwalior Glory High School for grade III, to educate the students about our historical epics. Students beautifully recited chaupais along with their meanings , took extreme care of rhythm and showcased their instinctive flair. “The success of your presentation will be judged not by the knowledge you send but by what the listener receives.” An intra-class English speech competition was organized for class V students on the topic ‘Truth Always Prevails’. The competition witnessed the participation of talented and enthusiastic students, eager to express their thoughts on the power of truth. All the students performed well. The competition was a perfect platform for the students to develop their communication skills and build self-confidence.

Reports Day

The Reports Day for classes I to V and classes VI to XII was held on October 7 and 10, 2023, respectively, at Gwalior Glory High School. The meeting was held in order to discuss the performance of students in the Term 1 examination with the parents. The parents were also briefed about psychological or behavioural issues faced by the students nowadays. Encouraging students to participate in cultural activities is the most effective way to inculcate personality-related skills. Taking this into account, various cultural events were organised during the Reports Day. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Exhibition 2023, an informative and distinctive exhibition, was organised by Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club and YUVA Tourism Club of the School, showcasing the beauty of our rich culture. The parents appreciated the efforts of the students and offered their valuable feedback. The active involvement of the parents during the day resulted in a conducive and fruitful outcome. Storytelling

“Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world.” – Robert McKee Children have an innate love for stories. Storytelling is a unique way for students to develop an understanding; respect and appreciation for other cultures; and promote a positive attitude towards people from different lands, races and religions. Gwalior Glory High School organised a wonderful storytelling session for the students of grade I to III and grade VI. The engrossing storytelling session was taken by a renowned storyteller, Ms Simi Srivastava. Mr Anurag Mathur, zonal manager and Mr Sanjay Sharma, regional manager, M/s Full Marks Publication, were also present on the occasion. Stories like Alligator’s Secret and Geet Ka Kamal were narrated by the storyteller in her unique style, which kept the students captivated throughout the session. The storytelling session was enriched by the infusion of music, creating a vibrant and engaging learning experience. Career Prospects in Travel and Tourism

A career counselling session on ‘ Career Prospects in Travel and Tourism ‘ was organised at GGHS by two eminent personalities of IITTM (Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management), Gwalior. Dr Kamakshi Maheshwari, Assistant Professor and Mr Chandra Deep Singh, Project Associate, conducted the session. Dr. Maheshwari talked about the plethora of opportunities available in the field of tourism and how diversified were the career prospects. She also gave some valuable insight into international tourism. She further pointed out that tourism is the second largest industry to generate foreign exchange for the country and this industry cannot be replaced by hardwares and softwares, it will always require human beings as it requires hospitality and compassion. She further elaborated on the courses available at IITTM for such career prospects. Mr Chandra Deep Singh gave some practical examples of people who passed out from the same institute and have excelled in various fields related to this career. The students were enriched with the information provided to them and thanked both the resource persons for opening their minds to offbeat career prospects.
