“Move in silence only speaks when it’s time to say check mate.”

India’s first ever Torch Relay, in celebration of the 44th Chess Olympiad, made its way to Gwalior. Starting from the national capital, the historic Olympiad Torch Relay will travel to 75 cities across the country before reaching its destination–Mahabalipuram on July 27.

It’s a matter of great pride and honour for Gwalior and Gwalior Glory High School as Ojaswa Singh of Class XII E got the opportunity to receive the torch.

This torch travelled from Delhi to other cities of India and reached LNIPE (Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education) in Gwalior. The honourable Shri Narendra Singh Tomar received the torch in Gwalior from KS Rathore (a former national chess player) and handed it over to International Chess Master Ojaswa Singh. Ojaswa took the torch forward to Gwalior fort.
