Webinar Series-Let’s Connect- Alumni Perspective

Under the ongoing Webinar series Let’s Connect-Alumni Perspective, Glorian Alumni Stuti Ashok Gupta from the batch of 2011 who currently runs Amrutam.co.in, an Ayurvedic lifestyle brand and wellness community was invited for an online session with the Glorians. Stuti addressed the students of classes 10, 11 & 12 and had an amazing online session on the topic Ways and Wisdom for Startups. She enlightened the students about the various ways to start successful business start-ups and also informed the students about the various things we can learn from each of them to become a successful entrepreneur. She shared words of wisdom for startup which could truly convert ideas into successful business. She highlighted that the key to applying startup conventional wisdom is to understand where you are in context.She added that with hardwork and perseverance any startup can become the shining future of tomorrow. The Alumni speaker also addressed the queries of the Glorians. Overall the session was quite instructive and fruitful.

Vinay Hablani, alumnus of Gwalior Glory High School

Vinay Hablani, alumnus of Gwalior Glory High School, from the 2010 batch, is a Mechanical engineer with masters in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is currently working with ATCI as a Team Lead SAP Production Planning and has prior experience with PwC, L&T and Tata group. As per him, he learned 3D’s from this school i.e Determination, Dedication and Discipline which helped him in both professional life and personal life. The school provided him platforms for both Academics and Sports that helped him grow as a person.

Suchi Laha

Shuchi’s writing journey started a little before the pandemic, but she got the opportunity to really showcase it when her short story, ‘Hope’, got selected for the Scholastic Writing Awards. Following that, she received mentorship from famous writers and had stories and poems belonging to different genres published. Her stories and poems have  been published in The Unadulterated Tales, By Us For Us by Katha and For Kids By Kids, Silhouettes, When Shadows Speak and ‘Voices of the Vindhyas’ – a 2 volume anthology of stories by SCHOLASTIC India . She also got the opportunity to attend sessions conducted by seasoned writers and mentors in the 2 day Literature Festival – Katha aur Kathakar organized by Scholastic in collaboration with MP Tourism. The event was even more special for Shuchi as ‘Voices of the Vindhyas’ – 2 volumes of nuanced stories written by young authors of Madhya Pradesh was also launched at the event. Her short stories ‘Mayer Chhaya’ and ‘Dear Kai’ have been included in the volumes. She extends her gratitude towards the school for giving her the chance to realize her potential in this field, for always supporting her in literary endeavors and guiding her to understand the nuances of the writing world. Further she says “Today I know and believe I’ll successfully be able to pursue writing along with my career. Thanks to Gwalior Glory High School for nurturing my writing skills”

Rudra Batham – International Tennis Player

“If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit, you’ll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.” Glorian Rudra Batham of Grade 8 once again made the school proud by reaching the finals of All India National Series Tournament in both the categories, Singles and Doubles (Under 14 ), held at Sania Mirza Tennis Academy, Hyderabad on 9th January, 2023. He was the runner-up in both the categories. The entire Glorian family congratulates him and wishes him a bright future.

Riddhima Garg

“One should not stop exploring oneself.” She had participated in LEAP AI 2022 COMPETITION organized by EDUFIQ and secured  2nd position under Innovators Category, which was based on the 3rd Sustainable Goal of “Good Health and Well- Being.” Riddhima had made 5-in-1 Smart Digi Watch. Her idea behind this innovation, was to keep an eye on one’s fitness. People cannot keep the basic instruments every time with them, so her 5-in-1 device included- a LUNG CHECKER, THERMOMETER, STEP-COUNTER, DIGI WATCH with hour format and TIMER with A and B button. The organising committee liked the device and hence sent a trophy as well as the certificate to recognize her hidden talent. The School congratulates her and wishes her even more success in the future.

Ojaswa Singh – Our young trailblazer

“Move in silence only speaks when it’s time to say check mate.” India’s first ever Torch Relay, in celebration of the 44th Chess Olympiad, made its way to Gwalior. Starting from the national capital, the historic Olympiad Torch Relay will travel to 75 cities across the country before reaching its destination–Mahabalipuram on July 27. It’s a matter of great pride and honour for Gwalior and Gwalior Glory High School as Ojaswa Singh of Class XII E got the opportunity to receive the torch. This torch travelled from Delhi to other cities of India and reached LNIPE (Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education) in Gwalior. The honourable Shri Narendra Singh Tomar received the torch in Gwalior from KS Rathore (a former national chess player) and handed it over to International Chess Master Ojaswa Singh. Ojaswa took the torch forward to Gwalior fort.

Juhi Jalota, an alumnus of Gwalior Glory High School, from the 2006-07 batch, is currently at the Embassy of India in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as Second Secretary from 2018. She expressed her gratitude towards the school authorities & teachers for identifying her capabilities during the formative years, equipping her skills, and disciplining and grooming her personality. She further added that the various Career Counseling Sessions held in school and International Level Competitions that the school provides a platform for, were extremely beneficial in developing her into the person that she is today.

Chaitanya Rathi

Yes! , to Foster a sense of community among alumni while supporting a sense of connectedness where an extremely sensitive and emotional event that sparks nostalgia among everyone, GWALIOR GLORY HIGH SCHOOL grappled the moment and introduced a series of webinar on Let’s connect Alumni Perspective,2022. In the series, Glorian Alumnus Chaitanya Rathi from the batch of 2011 who is currently a Co-Founder of bijnis.com and enlisted in FORBES UNDER 30 has been invited for an online session. He hails from the business family background of hosiery manufacturing understood the problems of manufacturers whereas while monitoring, he took an initiative to solve the complications of the manufacturers. While solving the troubles he himself faced hiccups as well as ups and downs in his entity. On 6th August, Chaitanya addressed the students of classes 10, 11 & 12. He is now a proud entrepreneur and the co-founder of the website bijnis.com, which has raised 300 crores from the investors from different parts of the world. Chaitnya talked about the various successful business start-ups and also informed the students about the various things we can learn from each of them to become a successful entrepreneur. He discussed about the importance of social media’s role in business these days. It’s important to be curious in the field of your concern and be the master of it. He discussed about the importance of keeping yourself updated and explore the opportunities. The session remained very informative and fruitful. Glorians raised their queries which were successfully resolved by the Alumnus speaker Chaitanya Rathi. The session ignited a spark in the students. Glorian Family congratulates him for his tremendous success and wishes him all the best for future endeavours.

We feel immense pleasure and pride in sharing that Glorian alumna, Supriya Kashyap has added to the glory of the School. She secured the opportunity to deliver a speech at the Parliament House in the presence of many political dignitaries on the occasion of Parakram Divas that is observed on 23rd January every year. She has been one of the 80 students who have been selected from the various institutions from different parts of India for this event. She also received a cordial invitation to visit Prime Minister’s House along with 29 other students. In this series of events, she visited the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, Rajghat, Rashtriya Swachhata Kendra, Kartavya Path and Nehru Stadium. She got the opportunity to witness the Republic Day Celebration at Red Fort on 26th January. Supriya has been representing Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan, West Bengal. Entire Glorian Family congratulates her for her proud achievement and wishes her good luck for her future endeavours.

*South Asian Karate Championship-2022*

*South Asian Karate Championship-2022* We take great pride and pleasure in sharing the significant achievement of our alumnus, Yash Sharma* , who took part in the South Asian Karate Championship-2022 held in Colombo from 25 November to 27 November 2022. He bagged a Gold Medal for his magnificent performance in this tournament . Gwalior Glory High School congratulates him and wishes him all the best in his upcoming endeavours. Commonwealth Karate Championship 2022 “Strength does not come from winning. Our struggles develop our strength. When we go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” Glorian alumnus Yash Sharma has bagged the Bronze Medal in Commonwealth Karate Championship 2022, held at University of Birmingham, UK. The entire Glory fraternity congratulates him for his proud achievement and wishes him great success in his future endeavours.
