Assessment

In an effective classroom student should not only know what they are doing but also, why and how.

The learner is assessed in the curricular subjects, project work, practical and oral work which include pen paper test/ activities according to a well drafted schedule

Summative Assessment

A Summative assessment is an evaluation method that uses a grading system to score a student’s level of knowledge. Typically, students respond to the same questions under the same conditions, and the instructor grades them based on the extent to which they satisfied pre-defined requirements. We conduct summative assessments at the end of each term. These are term end exam i.e. first and second term exam.

Portfolio

Portfolio promotes creativity, individuality and uniqueness in assessment of learning. Students develop proud ownership of their work. The self-reflection at each stage allows students to improve as they see themselves progressing over time at different stages. Student’s portfolio can be effectively evaluated using a simple scoring rubric. The criteria to be used in determining the quality of a portfolio has to be carefully developed and shared with student.

Multiple Assessment

The Programmes in Continuing Education helps people who are preparing for a career change or entrance into professional school, or those pursuing advanced training in their fields.

Subject Enrichment Activities

Subject enrichment activities provide in-depth learning that motivates students to dig deeper into the discipline. These enrichment activities need to challenge students and permit them to apply knowledge to the next level.

Formative Assessment

These are typically short, gradeless ways to evaluate what students know while they are in the process of learning it. They are indicators of how the class is doing as a whole and inform subsequent instruction. We conduct Weekly Tests, Assignments, Class work, Homework, Practicals, Projects, Oral Testing, quizzes, Experiments and other activities in the class.

Remedial Class

The remedial classes are the school’s initiative to help bring the comparative slow learners and low scorers at par with the rest of the class.
